The Thought Shed: 1 Hour to Sort Your Head Out

03 July 2025

By Andrew Lambert

Your brain's full? Need an ADHD Support Session? Neurodivergent brain in a jumble?

Have you ever felt that your head is like a tangled ball of string? No clear way to start, everything feels urgent, and all stuck together.

That's what the "Thought Shed" is for. It's a short, flexible one-hour session just for you, to give you the space to start untangling the mess.

Cartoon of a friendly red-haired person holding a coffee mug, ADHD Support Session standing outside a wooden shed with a sign that says “The Thought Shed.” The scene is bright and welcoming with blue skies, green bushes, and a sunny path.

You can show up exactly as you and your brain are, messy, overwhelmed, scattered, unsure..Whatever is going on, you are welcome to bring it.

No pressure, no preparation and no judgement.

Not quite coaching, not quite therapy

The thought shed is the middle ground; it's not therapy, but it is more than just a chat. Nor is it coaching in the traditional sense, with goals and action plans (well, actually, none of my coaching is quite like that!!), it's a space where you can get things unstuck, a little less tangled. A safe space for you to reason things out.

Think of it as borrowed executive function or a sounding board with warmth and structure. Someone who gets how your brain works, and you don't need to explain from scratch.

ADHD support session, good for ADHD and neurodivergent brains

This isn't just for people with a diagnosis, formal or informal; it's built for people like you, but it can help anyone.

If you live with things like

  • ADHD
  • Autism
  • Burnout
  • Executive Dysfunction
  • Chronic overwhelm

...then you will probably feel at home!

You don't need to mask

You don't need to "get your thoughts together" before you come (that's what the space is for!)

You don't need to have defined what the problem is, or what you want to get out of the session

You don't need to be coherent, productive, or even particularly awake

Just show up - That's enough!

So, what can you actually use it for?

Anything, really, anything that is stuck in your head.

People use the Thought Shed for

  • Untangle thoughts that they can't sort alone
  • Make a plan without frying their brain
  • Offload something emotional or stressful
  • Talk through a hard decision
  • Reset after a meltdown
  • Get calm and prepare for a tricky day
  • Decompress when things get too much

It's your hour, your agenda.

Sometimes people talk the whole time.

Sometimes people cry

Sometimes we write things down or draw diagrams

Sometimes people need a quiet structure and a bit of humour to keep things bearable.
